Rachel Sisk

Director of Synagogue Operations & Program Support/ Synagogue Consultant, Pacific Southwest Region and Northern Pacific Region

Rachel Sisk is a seasoned Jewish professional with expertise in education and training, program and leadership development, public speaking and group facilitation, and project and grant management. A native of Los Angeles, California, Rachel holds a bachelor’s from the University of California-Los Angeles, a master’s of social work from the University of Southern California, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from the American Jewish University, and both a master’s and an honorary doctorate from HUC-JIR. Rachel previously served as the director of an innovative consulting initiative at American Jewish University’s Graduate School of Education, as a director in the Jewish Education and Engagement arena at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, as a director of Informal Education and Youth for the Union for Reform Judaism, and as the founding Director of Family Education at the Central Agency for Jewish Education in Miami, FL. Rachel has also offered “Jewish Personal Training” through a unique concierge coaching service she founded over 20 years ago. Rachel has been published in several books, anthologies, journals, and newspapers, including authorship and editorial roles in the URJ’s innovative “Sacred Choices” and “Packing for College” curricula. She has served as field faculty for multiple nonprofit management and rabbinic students during their graduate studies.
