Jo-Anne Tucker-Zemlak

Synagogue Consultant, Southeast Seaboard

Jo-Anne Tucker-Zemlak has been with USCJ since April 2002 and is the Synagogue Consultant of USCJ’s Southeast Seaboard District. She has over 40 years of volunteer and professional experience to share with our congregations, much of which is in membership and volunteer development, with an emphasis on rabbinic search.

For over 12 years, she served as USCJ’s International Hazak Coordinator and, as such, was responsible for the planning and execution of the Hazak Camp Week every June and with the Hazak Israel and Eastern Europe Trips. She also works with Operational Effectiveness- saving congregations funds and disaster coverage for synagogues- checking in after hurricanes and floods.  Additionally, she is the ADL (Anti-Defamation League) representative for USCJ, handling all issues with acts against communities. Her degree is in early childhood education, and she also has a certificate in Fund Raising Management from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.
