Martin S. Kunoff
Senior Director of Operations & IT
Marty Kunoff is the Senior Director of the Department of Operations & IT. He has dedicated his entire 40-year professional career to USCJ.
Marty’s responsibilities include strategic planning for the organization’s growing technology footprint and overseeing all traditional IT services and web- and cloud-based application systems. He is most proud of his work coordinating the organization’s CRM and being at the forefront of its synagogue web hosting and website initiative. He also oversees several operational duties, including managing the United Synagogue Cemetery in Calverton on Long Island. He has a bachelor’s from New York University and a master’s of business administration in Computer Management Information Systems (MIS) from CUNY-Baruch College.
Marty provides extra support for the technology at his synagogue, Melville Jewish Center, where he has served as a past officer and continues to serve on its board of trustees. Most importantly, he is married to Shari (sheer bliss for 31 years). These days, he enjoys playing pickleball with friends but not as much as he loves playing golf with his two boys, Andrew and Seth. He also holds a special place in his heart for synagogue youth activities. He was a member of USY’s International Board back in the day and then a youth advisor during his college days before joining USCJ’s Youth Activities staff (now Teen Engagement). That was 1984 when the organization got its first computer, and as they say, “the rest is history.”
