Linda Sussman
Director of Leadership Development & Implementation/ Synagogue Consultant, METNY
Linda Sussman has worked for United Synagogue since September of 2011. She began at USCJ as the Synagogue Consultant for the Metropolitan District (METNY); the liaison to the almost one hundred synagogues in the New York metropolitan area. In her role, Linda cultivates relationships with synagogue leadership and provides USCJ resources to meet the needs of her congregations.
In her new role as Director of Leadership Development, Linda plans and implements training programs to educate synagogue leaders on how to be more effective. She designs strategy for leadership programs, developing content to achieve the organization’s goals and promote its mission, provides materials to enhance leadership qualities, assisting in developing action plans, as well as implementation. Linda is also responsible for creating and planning special projects for USCJ’s congregational leadership.
As a past synagogue president, Linda knows leadership is not always easy. She feels privileged to play a part in strengthening the Conservative synagogues of United Synagogue—managerially, organizationally, and Jewishly.
