Leslie K. Lichter

Leslie Lichter joined USCJ in 2016 as a professional and served as the Interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer from January 2019 – June 2020. She’s thrilled to now support the organization as a lay leader, beginning her term on the Board of Directors in January 2021.

Prior to joining USCJ, Ms. Lichter served as chief marketing officer of UJA-Federation of New York, where she was responsible for building the team which provided full-service agency quality support for the organization. Previously, Ms. Lichter held the senior-most philanthropy position at Parkinson’s Disease Foundation where she served as Director of Development. She continues to draw on her experience in the for-profit arena, where she began her career holding newly created marketing positions and launching services for American Express, transforming the international customer experience for Citibank and building Scholastic Publishing’s digital presence.

Ms. Lichter earned a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Brown University and an M.B.A from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. She lives with her husband (and welcomes visits from her grown sons) in Westchester, New York and is a member of Temple Israel Center of White Plains. She also spends time in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, enjoying the outdoors whether hiking, kayaking, or listening to music under the stars.
