Julie Marder

Senior Director, Teen Engagement Department- USY

Julie Marder currently serves as the Senior Director of USY, overseeing and driving the strategic vision, operational excellence, and overall growth of USY programs across North America and Israel. The role includes shaping the organization’s vision, fostering engagement among Jewish youth, promoting leadership development within the community, and setting department priorities and strategies.

She has been involved in USY since she was a teen. Julie served as a chapter board member for several years, as Regional Executive Vice President, and then as CHUSY Regional President. Julie is a proud Nativ alumna from Nativ 17. After graduating from college, she worked full-time as a special education teacher in a public high school and part-time as a chapter advisor and director.  When Julie had the opportunity to work full-time for USY, she jumped at the chance to become the CHUSY Regional Youth Director. Julie was the CHUSY Director for 10 years. Then Julie moved on to supervisory roles in USY as the Continental Engagement Supervisor, North American Engagement Director, Director of USY, and Interim Senior Director. 

Julie lives with her husband, Eric, two children, Dylan and Ryan, and their two dogs, Roxy and JuJu. Most of her time outside work is spent as an unpaid Uber driver for her kids’ activities. When she can find a few minutes to herself, she loves to read, walk, and free her mind while listening to music.
