Jessie Birnbaum
USY Program Coordinator San Diego & Orange County
Jessie currently serves as the USY Program Coordinator for San Diego & Orange County as well as the Director of Education & Youth Engagement at Ner Tamid in Poway, CA. Jessie holds a Masters in Jewish Education through Hebrew College and Bachelors in Religious Studies from San Diego State University. She grew up in Sacramento, CA, was active in USY and attended Camp Arazim as a camper and then counselor. Jessie participated in the USY Israel/Poland Pilgrimage and Nativ 16, then moved to San Diego and began working in the Jewish community. She has served in a variety of roles within the San Diego Jewish community working with teens and children. She and her husband Josh, who grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, have two children who participate in USY. Jessie is looking forward to working more closely with the entire San Diego and Orange County USY Community.
