Jamie Berman

Jamie Berman and her family have lived in Los Angeles for 33 years and are long-time members of Sinai Temple. A lifelong member of the Conservative movement, Jamie grew up in Anaheim, California, where her family was affiliated with Temple Beth Emet. During her time there, she served as a USY advisor and director for 11 years.

Currently, Jamie serves as co-chair of the Pacific Southwest District of United Synagogue and is the district’s Youth Commissioner. At Sinai Temple, she previously served as President and held several Vice President roles. She now continues her involvement as a member of the Board of Directors in the role of Past President.

Before dedicating herself fully to synagogue and community leadership, Jamie had a successful career in business. She worked as an International Marketing Director and was later promoted to General Manager of a manufacturing company in Anaheim, where she remained until her retirement. She holds a B.A. in Marketing with a focus on International Marketing from California State University, Fullerton, as well as an MBA.

Jamie and her husband, Joel, have two daughters, Alex and Ari, and future son-in-law, Aaron, who is engaged to Ari. All three currently resides in New York.  In her free time, Jamie enjoys traveling, reading, and is currently writing a book about her family’s genealogy.
