Avram Pachter
Director of USY Business Operations
Avram Pachter is the Director of Business Operations for USY. Avram grew up in the Conservative/Masorti Movement. He attended Solomon Schechter Day School and Chicagoland Jewish High School, followed by Nativ in 2006. He grew up in the CHUSY region, serving on his chapter and regional general boards. Following Nativ, he has been a youth advisor, regional staff, USY basketball coach, and executive staff at International Conventions. Avram is also a Ramahnik; he was a camper at Ramah Day Camp Jerusalem, Ramah Wisconsin, and Ramah Darom; a counselor at Ramah Day Camp (Chicago); Food Service Director at Ramah in the Rockies from 2013 to 2016; and Director of Operations for Ramah in the Rockies from 2019-2021. Avram’s career started in the culinary world as a trained chef, and he was Director of Hospitality and the Catering Manager of Circle of Life Kosher Catering (a company created by Avram) at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El in Highland Park, IL. During culinary school, he interned under James Beard Award Winning Chef Jeff Nathan in NYC.
Avram enjoys playing sports, being involved in the Jewish community, cooking, traveling, and the Michigan Wolverines.
