Dues & Membership

Has your synagogue examined your membership structure and dues policy recently? Many synagogues are finding success with a variety of dues models, from classic per-household rates to income-based ranges to pay-what-you-can models. Check out the Member Lounge digital resource library for our recent dues model survey results. Then, contact us to discuss what your synagogue membership committee may want to consider.

Financial Sustainability

Your congregation’s financial health affects its ability to survive and thrive. USCJ understands how high the stakes are, and we use our experience, knowledge, and relationships to educate affiliated synagogues on best practices in financial sustainability, budgeting, internal controls, and other critical financial policies. Safety & Security

USCJ is committed to helping your congregation provide a safe, secure environment for your staff and members. Now more than ever, our communities must be prepared to handle any threat or emergency. Learn more.

Addressing Antisemitism

Our Engagement team regularly coordinates with ADL and other partners to address antisemitism in our member’s broader communities. Incidents reported through the ADL-USCJ partnership form are investigated by federal authorities.

Report an incident here.

Every year, USCJ members join ADL’s Kulanu: Synagogues in Action Against Antisemitism cohort program. Over 200 USCJ-affiliated synagogues have participated since the program’s inception in 2022. Kulanu is an 8-month cohort of synagogue leaders across denominational streams.

This no-cost, self-directed program for congregations of any size and budget educates and empowers clergy, staff, and lay leaders to mobilize their members and local community in the fight against antisemitism and hate.
