Discover why now is the right time to ask your most loyal members and donors for legacy gifts and develop a strategy to ensure your legacy initiative has a strong foundation that will sustain your congregation long into the future.
This workshop focuses on the art of confidently guiding meaningful donor conversations that uncover emotional connections that legacy prospects have for your congregation and how to ask for legacy contributions.
Leverage your talents, skills, and time to support your congregation’s legacy initiative. We’ll share easy ways to engage in conversations, assist with marketing, steward donors, and/or change the philanthropic culture of your congregation.
Arlene D. Schiff is the National Director of the LIFE & LEGACY® program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. LIFE & LEGACY’s goal is to build organizational endowments through after-lifetime giving by making legacy giving normative behavior in the Jewish community.
LIFE & LEGACY is an initiative of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation which provides training, support and monetary incentives to Jewish organizations that want to build permanent endowments. From Chicago to Charleston and Montreal to Calgary, more than 22,000 individuals have answered the call with more than 34,000 legacy commitments to support the Jewish organizations they care about. In just 10 years since launching this initiative, 73 communities have secured more than $1.3 billion in estimated future gifts with more than $150 million already placed in endowments. To date more than 97 conservative congregations have participated in the program securing more than $173 million in estimated future gifts with more than $13.9 million already placed in congregational endowments.
