Here, you’ll discover how we are shaping the future of Conservative/Masorti Judaism by empowering communities, engaging youth, and embracing innovation. From fortifying the movement’s structural and spiritual foundations to supporting nearly 550 affiliated synagogues, we are committed to uniting voices, building coalitions, and creating a Judaism that is authentic, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

Explore how we invest in the Jewish future through USY teen engagement, nurture the next generation of leaders with YALA, and connect individuals to the richness of our tradition through Exploring Judaism. Together, we’re driving a vibrant, meaningful Judaism that resonates today and for generations to come.

Movement Building

USCJ takes seriously our obligation to fortify the structural, spiritual, and organizational needs of Conservative/Masorti Judaism. To achieve our bold goal of engaging 1.5M people with our authentic, egalitarian, and forward-thinking expression of Jewish wisdom and values, we seek to unify the many voices and organizations in our movement doing excellent work – and to drive the movement forward. To do this, we must work together to build coalitions, unify our message, leverage community resources, and help build the field for a structurally sound nuanced Judaism across all our communities.

Synagogue Support

While no longer the only vehicle of connection to our communities, the synagogue has long been the cornerstone of Jewish activity as a vehicle for us to connect us to Torah (learning), Avodah (spiritual experiences), and Hesed (kindness and social action). USCJ remains committed to providing best-in-class resources to our network of nearly 550 affiliated communities, with the clear objective of ensuring that at least 75% of them are identified as thriving by 2030.The structure, guidance, and consulting we provide to our synagogues focuses on our most important assets our people (clergy, lay leaders, and professionals).

USY Teen Engagement

USCJ invests in the Jewish future via our teens in USY as we continue to reach, teach, and network upwards of 5,000 teens annually. In 2024 we announced long-anticipated changes that help better position the organization to effectively reach more teenagers in the digital age. At a moment when the Jewish community and teens are facing unprecedented challenges and rising antisemitism, USY’s re-energized approach builds on five pillars: We will create accessible Judaism, and nurture a spiritual home for life that is also a magnetic core for Jewish experiences. As we continue to engage with a network of advocates and community partners, we will grow the leaders of tomorrow.

Young Adults, Leaders, and Alumni (YALA)

YALA is USCJ’s community for Jewish young adults in their 20s and 30s. YALA strives to create fun, impactful, and relevant Jewish experiences. In addition to hosting Shabbaton retreats, our AlumNet initiative provides microgrants to young adults to run their own affinity events to help our community grow and thrive.

Digital Landscapes (Exploring Judaism)

Exploring Judaism was launched in 2022 as a partnership between USCJ and the Rabbinical Assembly. More than 500,000 individuals have visited Exploring Judaism to find meaning in our tradition through the lens of our Torah. Exploring Judaism now has nearly 1,000 articles in four languages, and a newsletter with 5,000 subscribers.

Exploring Judaism is quickly becoming one of USCJ’s most well-known programs. It is part of our larger strategy to help build a stronger, vibrant Conservative/Masorti Judaism beyond synagogue walls.
