Youth & Education

Jewish education is critically important to the future of our people. Our Youth and Education team provides our synagogues with the resources needed to create innovative and enriching programming for children and teens.  Our staff provide USY chapter support for students in grades 2-12, as well as access to the full range of immersive experiences and leadership training for our young adults across North America. Just as important, USCJ provides extensive guidance on how to make our communities safe spaces for our children. Finally, thanks to our close partnership with the Jewish Educators Assembly, we offer professional development services to our teachers, religious school directors and early childhood staff who work with youth on the front lines, and search assistance when looking for new educational staff.

Child & Youth Safety

Our Department of Child and Youth Protection works with member congregations to strengthen their individual child safety policies and procedures and offer guidance on handling child safety concerns. Whether it’s at a USY event or within a USCJ member congregation, we strive to foster a safe environment where children can strengthen their connection to Judaism.
