When we disagree with someone about something, many of us tend to avoid the conversation, because we’d rather not have an argument. If we do get into these conversations, they can indeed become unpleasant and seem difficult to solve. But avoiding the conversation or arguing doesn’t help us move through disagreements or improve our sense of collaboration. So how can we get better at talking through disagreements? In this three-part series, we’ll practice listening and speaking skills that can bring more connection, collaboration, and real solutions. These skills are especially important for leaders and educators, who need to help keep groups moving together and with sense of cohesion, even across difference. Please plan on coming to all three sessions in the series.
