As you may have already realized,  this holy work is not yet complete. Now that the applications, interviews, endless meetings and conference calls, negotiations, and terms are finally over, the real work begins. Even if your rabbi has been with you since July 1, onboarding, successful transitioning, and change management is an ongoing process and there's still much to be done. Daniel Langenthal, USCJ Director of Leadership Development and Mindy Gordon, Director of Clergy Search and Services have planned a webinar in which they will discuss shifting the focus of your congregation’s rabbinic search process to ensuring that a transition committee is put in place. They will talk about best practices for onboarding the new rabbi and offer suggestions on how to successfully welcome the rabbi into your community.
