In a hyper-polarized world, in which dismissal and demonization of the “other” is the norm, what wisdom does the Jewish tradition offer regarding the importance of multiple perspectives and the positive power of constructive disagreement? What are the practical skills necessary to productively engage in challenging conversations and to solve problems with those with whom we are in community? We will begin exploring these questions through a combination of Jewish text study and social psychology.
