This is a space-limited, interactive discussion.There will not be a frontal presentation. Please come prepared to share what takes place at your own congregation and with questions for others. The conversation may include:

• What assumptions might we be making about this age group that deserve re-examining?
• In what ways do mature adults connect, lead, and feel valued in your congregation?
• How do your synagogue’s culture, schedules, or norms either welcome or unintentionally exclude this population?
• Which programs or engagement strategies have been most effective for this demographic?
• How do you balance: Social connection, Learning and meaning-making & Purpose and contribution?
• How do staffing models and budgets support (or limit) engagement with this population?
• Where could partnerships—internal or external—expand your reach?
• What has shaped your own connection to synagogue life at this stage of life?
• What role should the congregation play in later-life transitions?
• What would make synagogue life feel essential—not optional—at this stage?

The session is scheduled for 60 minutes and will not be recorded. There are 30 participant spots available on a first come-first served basis and a waiting list will open once those spots are filled.
