Over the past year the Jewish community has faced the horrific attack in Pittsburgh and, expressions of hate and extremism around the country. Balancing the need to keep our communities safe with the desire to create a welcoming and financially sound institution is fast becoming an overwhelming issue for our leadership. This conference explores the tension between spirituality and safety, welcoming and security. The workshops will contain information on the building blocks of planning and implementing safe environments. Our participants will gain a better understanding of security planning processes and learn of the ongoing need to reexamine and reevaluate their work in this ever changing world.
