Next Generation Judaism: Meeting People Where They Are (Northern Pacific Region)

April 7, 2019 2 Nisan, 5779

Do we really understand the unique needs of our communities across age groups, interests, and passions? Rabbi Mike Uram's book Next Generation Judaism is a powerful wake up call to Jewish organizations about what Hillel can teach us about better understanding the under-engaged so that we can create institutions that genuinely meet their needs.

This conference will help leaders unpack the ideas of Next Generation Judaism, think about the difference between "engagement" and "empowerment," and learn from area congregations that are breaking the mold to rethink how they speak to the needs of all kinds of people in their community.

Rabbi Joshua Rabin, USCJ Director of Innovation, will provide a thought provoking keynote for synagogue leaders, which will be followed by workshop sessions.
