Operations Manager - Remote, NY

Work with the staff from the USY and Operations departments to create cohesive and efficient

processes within the USY department by providing logistics, operational and system support

services. All candidates must be highly motivated and extremely detail-oriented. They should be

a self-starter with high energy.

Position Purpose

The Operations and Logistics Support Manager - USY will work closely with the USY Branch

Directors and the Director of Teen Travel & International Engagement to support the operations,

systems, and logistics for all USY/Kadima programs. This position will focus mainly on the

operations and logistics of summer programs, IC and regional programs while providing support

to the finance department as it relates to our registration system.

Duties & Responsibilities

The duties of this position include, but are not limited, to the following:

● Book hotels for USY summer programs and regional conventions

● Coordinate home hospitality for USY summer programs

● Coordinate all domestic transportation for International USY programs and regions as

needed

o Assist with flight and travel bookings

● Arrange meals/catering for USY summer programs and IC staff week

● Create and manage business accounts

● Manage and submit vendor invoices

● Manage vendor contracts and payments

● Manage the USCJ credit card

● Organize online donations through Regpacks - transferring to correct accounts

(bluesnap reports)

● Record all payments in Regpacks

● Code all payments to appropriate lines

● Provide ongoing support to summer staff during summer programs

● Coordinate summer staff assistance pre-summer (May/June)

● International Convention portfolio, as assigned

● Attend international programming to provide support - Fall Board Weekend and

International Convention

● Provide ongoing support to summer staff during summer programs

● Coordinate summer staff assistance pre-summer (May/June)

Work Environment

This position will be based in the USCJ central office in New York.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office

equipment such as computer, phones, filing cabinets and other office equipment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The

employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full –time position exempt from overtime, which will require some extended hours and

some weekends.

Travel

Travel is required as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience

● A college degree

● 3+ years of work experience in operations and logistics services is required

● Familiar with the religious practices of Conservative Judaism

● Knowledge of kashrut requirements.

● Familiarity with contracts, budgets, travel websites, and project management systems

are preferred

● Familiarity with Google Suite functions and Microsoft programs (google docs,

spreadsheets, Excel)

● Ability to quickly learn online systems and programs

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must have authorization to work in the U.S.

Valid passport and driver’s license
