NYC USY Alumni Coordinator

USCJ is searching for an events coordinator for New York City.

The NYC USY Alumni Coordinator will be directly responsible for all aspects of NYC area alumni programming. This includes the planning, logistics, and financials of the events, the creation and managements of the committee, setting the programming calendar.

  Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for running 1-3 events per month in the greater NYC area
  • Meeting with 3-5 individuals per month
  • Identifying 3-5 possible donors for the Development staff to solicit
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an NYC area alumni board, which will meet monthly (either by phone, video conference, or in person)
  • Liaison between  speakers and event vendors
  • Responsible for all speaker coordination associated with events including; collecting presentations and gather speaker logistic requirements for on-site execution.
  • Prepare all conference documentation for participants
  • Coordinate all on-site materials to ensure successful event
  • Provide on-site speaker and logistical support, when required
  • Manage numerous projects with different completion deadlines

Employment Requirements:

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent oral and written communication with ability to create strong presentations
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at once, demonstrating excellent time management skill, with attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal skills, willing to assist co-workers in tasks but also works well independently Demonstrates diplomacy in the most difficult situations, remaining positive and composed
  • Ability to multi-task and work both independently and part of a team, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to provide on-site support for local New York City USY Alumni Events
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and ability to prioritize * Excellent computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) is essential
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential
