Marketing Communications Coordinator

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting the marketing communications senior director and manager and collaborating on all aspects of the team’s responsibilities, including brand management, external communications, event and content marketing, digital media, public relations and more.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with organization staff to ensure brand guidelines are upheld
  • Maintain and update marketing toolkit and photo bank
  • Coordinate with outside agencies such as web developers, writers and digital marketing firms
  • Maintain and update website(s)
  • Draft and distribute bi-weekly newsletter
  • Coordinate content marketing, including maintaining calendar, coordinating with authors, routing for approval and distributing across multiple channels
  • Work with USCJ and USY teams to develop and implement social media content calendars
  • Act as bridge between brand and community on social media
  • Submit invoices and ensure they are paid

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, filling cabinets and other office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position exempt from overtime. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5pm.

Required Education and Experience

  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly organized
  • Digital media savvy/familiarity with social media platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across organization with wide variety of people
  • Strong verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborative with a small team
  • Familiarity with Judaism
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, marketing, communications or related field

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience and familiarity with content management systems (e.g. Wordpress), email marketing providers (e.g. Constant Contact) and CRM software
  • Skilled at anticipating, managing and resolving conflicts
  • Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills a plus
  • Experience with Facebook ads and Google Adwords is a plus
