Do You Recycle Your Cans?

In the first question of our survey (Do You Recycle Your Cans?), all grades except 7th had a majority that answered "yes." In the younger grades, we realized the results of the survey had a different response. The reason for this was that the younger grades are not the best recyclers. We think this is because they are just learning. By the end of the year, however, we hope to change their negative results into positive.

In the second question (Do You Turn Off the Lights When You Leave a Room?) the results started out looking very good, but in the lower grades, again the "no" answers overtook the "yes" answers.

Do You Use Either Scrap Paper or Both Sides of Paper Before You Throw It Out?

The results for question number three (Do You Use Either Scrap Paper or Both Sides of Paper Before You Throw It Out?) were not as impressive as we might have liked. I think that this is because in school and for homework some teachers don't allow us to use both sides of the paper.

I think that the lower grades, even though they need work on recycling, are looking at a bright future of recycling.
