Over the hills, up in the mountains
over the hills, up in the mountains
I saw a rainbow
it looked glazed like candy
and looked very soft and fuzzy
the colors were in order
as bright as you would think
the colors blended in to one another
pink to orange to yellow
all the way 'til the end
over the hills, up in the mountains
i saw a rainbow
pink as a sour, satisfying rasberry
orange as a fresh, messy orange
yellow as a ripe, clean banana
green as a crisp, juicy pear
blue as a sweet, little blueberry
purple as a juicy, messy plum
over the hills, up in the mountains
i saw a rainbow
maybe it was standing 1,000 feet apart
maybe not
over the hills, up in the mountains
i saw a rainbow

Rainbow
The sign of G-D
The glazed, candy-like rainbow,
emblazed in the sky,
the peaceful colors
way up high
exploded infront of the clouds My mouth opened with happiness and awe
and then the rainbow was gone,
The color and joy that I saw.
by Louis
The Owl's Cry
Out in the wilderness,
All alone,
The sound of wolves
To shake your bones. Up in the sky of pink,
A hawk circles its prey,
For G-d has to feed all kinds of creatures,
And bless each one with different features. Up to see the sun rise,
Listen to a owl's cry,
"Nature is at risk my child
We need to work to save the wild."

Friendship
The people I met,
I shall never forget,
Completing our challenge,
Gettin a bead,
Together we meed this friendship
Weve recieved.
Once one slips,
The other by their side,
As if together we can
be washed up by the tide.
Happy, sad, even mad,
We could talk it out,
From the first time we met,
Until the last campfire in which
We were to say goodbye.
On the day that we had to leave
As if we were to greave,
I felt as if a boulder hit me,
Right smack on the knees.
I miss my friends all of whom I met,
I will wait to see again,
Until that day, and on they will
always be my Friends.
by JennaLightly Laid
Following the covenant passed on to Noah,
Full of power; color;and emotion,
As if it were some kind of magical potion,
In form of an arch leading up into heaven,
As the storm drifts away,
The sight of beauty is lightly laid,
The colors open up your heart,
This rainbow plays an important part,
Still with you to the day,
Only G-d can turn away,
Lay down to imagine how you were feeling,
But out of your mouth comes no meaning,
Only from your heart you will feel,
Nothing else is considered real.
By JennaThe Voice of Spring
Whoosh I hear her voice cry out to me
As if it was a dolphin's scream coming from the sea
I smell her as if she was here with me
Listen to the river's flow
Looking at the stars bright glow
While I am sitting here on the old, rusty, gray steps
The scent of flowers makes me weep
I sit here and wonder why the seasons change
Why the snow just disappears
Because it must let the flowers bloom
Crickets a-chirpin' Birds a-singin'
This is the true voice of spring
Which only brings her voice to the world once a year
When her tears roll down her face on to
the earth Have no fear for she is helping the colors Red,Green, and purple too
Help form spring
So when the moon's a-glowin'
The stars are too
Listen to the voice of spring calling to you.

Candy Sunset
How I could taste that sunset,
it was like I was at a carnival
and tasting that delicious cotton candy
just going down my mouth.
The night sky glowed like it was on fire.
It was a sign of G-d that the day had ended.by Becca
Everyone Huddles Around the Burning Wood
Everyone huddles around the burning wood,
Pushing and shoving to get part of the warmth
Closely gathering to hear the ring-side tales of woe
The parks fly high into the air,
Disparately trying to reach for the stars,
Falling helplessly to the ground
The far of hoot of an old owl can be heard for miles around,
The soft howl of a mother wolf calling for her young
The bright moon shines with an iridescent glow,
On the flat, blue surface of the lakeby Mark
Look out Point
I stood on the top of the mountain,
beaming with joy!
I had made it up the rocky path,
without falling back down.
I felt ad if I were on the top of the world
I felt as if I could fly!
I looked down at the world as if I were
watching over everyone,
I saw the trees sway back and forth,
as the raw, cold wind touched my face,
All I heard was the sound of peace
and as I looked around at my surrounding, I thought wow
what a beautiful place our world is.by Tali
I just came back from Teva...
I just came back from Teva
And with me came many things.
New facts I learned and wish to share
More knowledge that we need to care.
About the nature of our world
Otherwise it soon will be
Nothing that you will want to see.
But I also carried back with me memories.
Memories with all my friends.
Both new and old.
And from this trip I cherish most three things:
1. knowledge to know that I can make a difference
2. Teva togetherness ecology bal tashchit and awareness all of which will guide me through my life
3. friendship something to never let go of
And from these things that I learned there
I wish to take them everywhere.
To make this world a better place
So we can have a smiling face.
by BethI loved to roam around the woods...
I loved to roam around the woods
to see the many things.
To see the insects on the ground,
to see the creatures with wings.
To see the different kinds of Trees
scattered on the earth.
To work together with your friends
to make this stay worth it.
And in the woods to play some games
that teach you many values.
Like save the earth or Teamwork rules.
that are so very important.
And so I learn so many things,
From this trip to Teva.
Ill take with me throughout my life
And teach to other souls,
So they can share all the treasures my heart holds.

by EricThe Look out
Today we are going up the hill
It will be a really good thrill
The hill started very steep
and after a while I haad tired feet
halfway up we found a cave
when we were in it we all gazed
then we got to the top
at the most talked about spot
looking from high up was like a choclate sweet
this beautiful sight couldn t be beat
On the was back we got the bead for together
and I know that the expierience will last forever.
by EricThe Night Hike
The night was dark
It was so quite
Every where,
And you can
Almost hear,
A bird flew by ,
Landed on its nest,
And fell asleep
But then the moon came out
And it felt like daytime again
But everything, and everyone
Was still asleep.by Inna
Dark and Scary
The deeper in the wood,
The darker it got,
The scarier everyone became.
The hoots of the owls
Made everyone jump,
Once in a very long while.
You could not see a thing
Except for the brightly lit moon
That shined our way
Through this dark and scary wood.
Feel around,
Trust each other,
That is the only way you will succed.
Listen to the leaves and birds
To find your way
Through this dark and scary wood.
When the clock strikes eight
You will be free to go
And you will know that you have completed
This task and journey
Of the dark and scary wood
On this very day.
by SamanthaNight Hike
The darkness comes, we’re in the woods,
The moon giving plenty of light,
We walk, leaves snap, we look around,
On this beautiful night.
Camouflage is one game we play
Better at night than in the day.
Slowly creeping on my tippie-toe,
That I’m here she does not know.
Closer, closer, slower slower,
softer, softer,I’ll get her, I’ll show’er.
Then, I pounce, she’s out, I tagged her!
She says she heard me? Unfair, I snagged her!!
Oh well, it is just a game,
Even if I don’t receive any fame.
We learned more about the night,
as we continued on the trail,
like that some animals are nocturnal,
like the bat, but not the snail.
We headed back to camp
Feeling happy and content,
About what we had done that night
Underneath our huge tent.
