Q: Why did you decide to come to TEVA

A: I love working with the sixth graders and I like work

Q: What do you like the best about TEVA?

A: I like being in the woods all day with the sixth graders.

Q: How long have you been working here?

A: Since last spring.

Q: What influenced you to come to TEVA?

A: Because it's not teaching in a classroom, it's teaching Judaism and it's a workout.

Q: What's your favorite activity?

A: Hiking

Q: How do you like being a staff member?

A: I love it!!!!!!!!!

Q:What do you do in your spare time?

A: I listen to music and read.

Q: Has Teva changed you?

A: Yes, it helped me explore different ways of being Jewish.

Q: WhatÝare your favorite hobbies?

A: Hiking and singing

Q: What keeps you working at Teva and having a good time?

A: Meeting different sixth graders and getting to know them.

Interview of Ben by Danielle

Q: What are your favorite things about working at Teva?

A: Working with the children, being outside, teaching yoga, working with the staff, working in a Jewish community and being able to talk about G-d in public.

Q: What or who influenced you to work here? Where did you hear of Teva?

A: Adam Berman- (director) influenced me to work here. I heard about Teva from Camp Towanga- another camp that I used to work at. I also wanted to learn about Judaism in work with community that involves nature.

Q: What keeps you here?

A: First of all it's my job and second of all, I loves it and have never lived in a place so great!

Q: What was your favorite subject in school?

A: Gym and Writing.

Q: Have you had any other jobs working with nature?

A: yes- I have been a camp counselor the past 4 years dealing with nature and doing lots of hiking.

Q: Why is nature so important to you?

A: Because everything comes from Nature- it's peaceful. It's a world that isn't made up by people- it's perfect. It's surrounded and contains G-d's beautiful creations.

Q: How do you feel about your job? Do you think your efforts towards nature make a difference in kids lives?

A: I feels I does make a difference in kids' lives. I cares about all of the kids who come to Teva individually from the heart. I doesn't just care about them because it's part of my job.

Q: Do you have any advice for me to make our environment a better place?

A: Pay attention to everything in the world that you like and care about. Believe in what you believe in from the heart. Capture what you like.

Q: Did you study a special subject to learn about nature?

A: Formal Teva training with Teva Learning Center. Lots of time outside and I loves the outdoors! Did not study ecology or nature in school... you couldn't!

Q: How long have you been working at Teva?

A: 2 months

Q.What's your favorite thing about working at Teva?

A. "My favorite thing about working at Teva is being in the forest everyday."

Q. What or who influenced you to work here?

A. "One of my students thought it would be perfect for me."

Q. Where did you hear of Teva?

A. " I heard of Teva at Solomon Schechter Day School of Boston, where I was teaching The kids came back from Teva and made all the teachers mugs so we wouldn't waste paper cups."

Q. What keeps you here at Teva?

A. "The kids and the staff."

Q.What was your favorite subject at school?

A. "Basketball and Jewish studies."

Q. Have you had any other jobs that had to do with nature?

A. "I led canoe trips."

Q. How do you feel about your job?

A. "I love it, I feel special when I'm in nature."

Q. Why is nature important to you ?

A. "Nature is important to me because I love it , I feel grateful and special when I 'm in nature."

Q. Do you think that your efforts towards nature make a difference in kids lives?

A. "I feel that everyone has their own connection to nature

and my job is to introduce kids to nature and to let them

have their own 'conversations' with the earth."

Q. How long have you been working at Teva?

A. "I've been working at Teva for 2 and a half months."
