We are pleased to announce the appointment of
Julie Marder as the new Regional Youth Director of the
Midwest Region, United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
(CHUSY)
Julie is certainly not a stranger to USY and to our
Region. She grew up at Congregation Beth Judea in Long
Grove, IL and is a Past President of CHUSY. Upon
graduation from high school, Julie spent a year in
Israel on our NATIV program. She then attended Indiana
University and graduated with a degree in education.
Julie has worked as a high school teacher for six years
while also serving as the youth director at Congregation
Beth Judea for the past five years. She has also served
CHUSY as the Director of our Camp Kadima program for the
past three years and coordinated several CHUSY Kadima
Kallah programs.
We are fortunate to have Julie assuming this important
role in our Region. Given her passion for Judaism and
dedication and commitment to our youth, CHUSY Region is
in capable hands.
