He served congregations in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Massachusetts. In the last eight years, he was a rabbi-educator in the Jewish Community Center movement serving as the director of Jewish education at the Springfield, Massachusetts JCC and director of arts and humanities at the Sabes JCC of Minneapolis.
In addition to his passion for teaching, Rabbi Perlman enjoys singing and leads our congregation with his robust, basso voice. He has an interest in literature, philosophy, history, and prayer. Rabbi Perlman is on the board of the Jewish Historical Society of Upper Midwest, participates in the Saint Paul Interfaith Network, and writes for the Jerusalem Report and the American Jewish World.
