Great Lakes & Rivers Region held a Shabbaton
at Northern
Hills Synagogue in Cincinnati, Ohio, June 20-22, featuring
Scholar-in Residence, Rabbi Paul Drazen, Chief Program Development

INSTALLS NEW RABBI
Rabbi
Rona Shapiro was installed by Congregation Bethaynu of Pepper Pike,
Ohio, near Cleveland. Everyone at the Great Lakes & Rivers
Region extends a Mazal Tov to Rabbi Shapiro and the entire Congregation
on this momentous occasion.

ABRAHAM CALLS OAKWOOD HOME
Beth
Abraham Synagogue of Dayton, OH, held a Torah Walk on March
16, 2008 to their new home. Festivities included
a Torah Walk moving the Sifrei Torah from their old
Salem Avenue building to the new one at Sugar Camp. The official
dedication

BNAI
ISRAEL DEDICATES NEW BUILDING
Congratulations to Congregation B’nai Israel of Sylvania
(Toledo), Ohio which recently dedicated a beautiful new building
on the city’s Jewish Community campus. The weekend celebration
was capped by a special concert featuring the synagogues own Hazzan
James Gloth and Broadway singer Andrea Rae Markowicz, who grew
up at the Congregation. We wish you many happy and successful years
at your new location!
