We are delighted to announce our
third HAZAK trip to the Block and Hexter Adult Center from June 12-19, 2008. We
will join other 7 HAZAK Regions — Seaboard, New Jersey, Southeast, New England,
Metropolitan New York, Empire, Mid Atlantic, and Connecticut Valley for this
special week. There are some wonderful lecturers who will be joining us during
our visit. Gloria Goldreich, a noted author and lecturer will again be with us,
Sheldon Horowitz, a very popular lecturer will be teaching us about 2 new
historical trials, Dr. Marsha Edelman will again enchant us with her musical
talent and joining us this year Ellie Gumnit will lead us in a wonderful series
of Israel at 60. We will also be joined by Rabbi Moshe Edelman, who will lead us
through the week and nourish our souls with his very new series of films and
Pirkei on the Porch. All of these courses will be both thought-provoking and
entertaining.
In addition to these courses, there are many other exciting activities planned. Like always, there are many on-site activities available to us including tennis, computer programming, exercise programs, swimming in either our beautiful lake or heated pool, nightly entertainment, Shabbat experience and so much more. All rooms at the Block and Hexter Adult Center (both Single and Double Rooms) have private bathrooms with showers and air conditioning; this is not your typical children’s camp cabin. Rooms accommodate a maximum of two people. All rooms are identical. Amenities in all rooms, twin beds with full box spring and mattress (not cots), and daily housekeeping (beds made, fresh towels provided daily, and rooms cleaned).
We have enclosed this year’s registration materials and course descriptions for your review. Please remember that rates include all meals, round-trip transportation from various regional locations, and activities at Block and Hexter. Please mail the completed forms with a $75.00 non refundable deposit per person to Associated Camps. If you have any questions about the facility or rooms, please call Block and Hexter office at 1.800.400.1924 or feel free to contact us at the numbers below.
We know that our week together will be most memorable, and we hope to see you at this wonderful program. Space is limited. In order to assure you of a space, register now.
On behalf of you team leaders Arlene Corsover, Rabbi Moshe Edelman and myself we look forward to seeing you!!
