FAMILY PROGRAMS
SHABBAT AND HOLIDAY CELEBRATION FOR FAMILIES
SHABBAT EVENINGS AND FAMILY DINNERS
Every Friday (except summer months), evening services are at 6:00 PM...an hour of singing, prayer, and meditation, and the rich feeling of sharing with family and friends. Several times a year, Shabbat evening services are followed by Shabbat dinner for the entire family; the smells, sights, and sounds of Shabbat - delicious food, traditional melodies, families and friends joined in love and sharing. At these special services, Rabbi Satlow will tell a story incorporating the special theme of the evening.

Shavuot marks the giving of the Torah - the five books of Moses - to the Jewish people. Traditionally, the holiday is celebrated with a dairy feast. At Beth El, we welcome the holiday at an outdoor dairy picnic. The children have plenty of time for play outdoors; there will be singing, dancing and a Shavuot story told by Rabbi Satlow. Bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy!
