Learning has always been at the core of Jewish life. The Jewish People, more than any other, has been devoted to hallowing life through activities which nurture the intellect and enrich the spirit.
From its inception, Congregation Beth El has attempted to bring to its congregants the richest variety of learning experiences.
Congregation Beth El has significantly expanded the learning opportunities for individuals, families, groups and the community at large. There is learning in the context of religious observance and learning in the more formal atmosphere of the classroom. There are classes which feature the close study of a text and there are more informal discussions. We can learn from scholars, from each other, from our children, from Jews and from non-Jews.
There are many important and wonderful opportunities here. Carpe diem - seize the chance...make this a year of learning, loving, living.
