| According to the region’s by-laws, in addition to
all of the above, the following constitute the Region’s Board of
Directors: all past and present central officers residing in the
region, the President and USCJ representative from each synagogue, the
head of each affiliated arm, all Committee Chairs, and the regional
executive director.

Shirley Morrison, President Elect is
a Past President of B’nai B’rith Women, Rose of New England Chapter in
Norwich; Past President of Indian Valley Chapter of ORT in Windsor; and
past President of Beth Hillel Synagogue, Bloomfield, CT. She
has held various positions in the Beth Hillel Sisterhood in Bloomfield,
including President, and on the synagogue’s Board of
Directors. She is an active member of the CT Valley
Branch/North Atlantic Region, Women’s League for Conservative Judaism,
and has held various positions including President. She presently serves
on the International Board of Women's League for Conservative Judaism,
and the USCJ. She has served as a
VP of CT Valley Region, USCJ and is currently Secretary. She
is Past President of the Board of the Federation Homes in Bloomfield,
CT. Shirley serves on the Wilson/Deerfield Advisory
Committee for the Town of Windsor

Eliot Meadow, Regional
Vice President & President-Elect, is an Information Technology executive for
WellPoint Inc. He serves as President of Congegation Adath Israel in
Middletown CT. Eliot is on the steering committee for Project
Reconnect, the alumni program of USCJ. As a member of the International
Board he also sits on the USCJ Technology Committee and the committee
for Services to Congregations. Eliot attended and worked at
Camp Ramah and worked as the USY advisor for 3 synagogues in CT and NJ.
He is a graduate of a Solomon Schechter Day School and has two
children, one attending SSDS in West Hartford and the other a recent
graduate. Both of his children attend Camp Ramah in Palmer MA. where
his wife Stephanie works as Rosh Sport.

David Nemirow, Regional VP, is a retired Public School Teacher with 35 years experience. He has been the Principal of Temple Beth Tefilah, East Hartford Religious School for 25 years, and is a Past President of Temple Beth Tefilah for 4 years. He has been a Religious School and B’nai Mitzvah Teacher for 37 years. He has served as High Holiday Hazzan at Temple Beth Tefilah for 30 years, and has served as Chairman and Master of Ceremonies for Israel Bonds East of the River event, has served as chairman for 5 years, and one year he was an honoree. David has served on the Regional Board of USCJ as Social Action Co-chair. He has been the Co-chair of Ritual Committee Beth Hillel Synagogue in Bloomfield for 20 years, where he has also served on the Board of Directors.

Regional VP is a past President
of Temple Beth Sholom in
Linda Simons, Regional Vice
President, is
President of B’nai Shalom Synagogue in Putnam/Danielson, CT. She is a
Past President of Randolph-Holbrook Hadassah and held positions in
Sisterhood. She is a recipient of the Eishet Hayil Award from Women’s
League in 2006. Linda has served on the JFEC Committee for the Jewish
Film Festival bringing films to the quiet corner of CT. She is a
retired procurement quality engineering manager for a nuclear utility
and worked in the nuclear energy field for more than 20 years. She has
served as an alumni representative at local college fairs for
Northeastern University to promote the University and women in science
and engineering. She served on the Planning Board in Randolph , MA for
25 years before moving to Woodstock . Linda attended the USCJ Biennial
Convention in Orlando and is on the Committee for the Convention in
December 2009 in Cherry Hill , NJ .
David Elkodsi, Regional Secretary, is a past President,
and currently a Trustee, of Congregation B’nai Torah in Trumbull . He
is active in the Boy Scouts of America, presently serving as Chairman
of the Jewish Committee on Scouting for the Connecticut Yankee Council
and is active in Troop 15 in Stamford (sponsored by the local Jewish
War Veterans post). He is a staff advisor to the CT Yankee Council
Youth Leader Training course, received the Council’s Shofar award in
2005 and has been recognized by the Narragansett Council of RI for his
contributions to Jewish scouting. He also serves as an Educational
Counselor for MIT. David and his wife Susan are co-owners of UNP
Advertising, Inc. which specializes in recruitment advertising. They
have two children.
Jeffrey A. Adler,
Regional Financial Secretary, is the Immediate Past
President of Beth Hillel Synagogue in Bloomfield past
President of the Connecticut Valley Region of the Federation of Jewish
Men's Clubs and past President of Beth Hillel's Men's Club.
He is employed at Otis Elevator Company as the Benefits
Manager. Since moving to Connecticut in 1990, Jeff and his
wife Gail have been active members in Beth Hillel.
They have two grown daughters.
Miriam Benson, Executive
Director received her undergraduate education at the
University of Pennsylvania. She then lived in Israel for 6
years, during which time she studied law at Hebrew University and
worked as an attorney. Upon her return to the United States,
she worked as an attorney in New York and Connecticut, and is currently
the Executive Director of the Connecticut Valley Region of United
Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Ms. Benson is
married to Rabbi Jon-Jay Tilsen of Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel in
New Haven, and has four children.

President, is a Past President of Emanuel Synagogue, Jewish
Children's Service Organization, Emanuel Minyonaires, and the Solomon
Schechter Parent Organization. He serves on the Boards of
Emanuel Synagogue, JCSO, and Minyonaires, and served on the Boards of
Midrasha and JFS. He is active on the Ritual and High Holiday
Committees, and with JCSO Projects. He is currently on the
Board of Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford.

H. James Pickerstein,
is a commercial litigation and white collar
crime attorney whose practice includes representing individuals and
entities in governmental investigations and prosecutions, as well as
representing individuals and businesses in commercial disputes and
litigation. He is a member of numerous prestigious
Bar Associations and legal organizations, is admitted to practice
before the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr.
Pickerstein served as President of Congregation Beth El, Fairfield, CT
from 1999 to 2001. He has been a member of Congregation Beth El since
1972, and in addition to his service as President, he presently is both
a member of the Board of Trustees and of the Ritual Committee. He is
also a regular of the Beth El morning minyan.
