USCJ Calendar Art Photo Contest

It’s that time of year again – time for us at the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism to ask members of our affiliated congregations to enter our calendar photo contest.

We would like the next calendar – that’s the 5769 (2008-2009) issue -- to feature photographs of stained glass. We’re looking for photographs of any kind of stained glass – windows, either functional or entirely decorative; ceiling domes; ark doors; wall coverings; panels, or anything else. Please send us pictures taken at a great distance, pictures of close-up detail, pictures taken from a middle range, and any other pictures you’d like considered. We will accept as many photographs from one synagogue as you’d like to send us. Keep in mind, though, that not only should the window be beautiful but the photograph, too, should be of high quality. The higher quality the photo, more likely it is to win the contest.

Submission Requirements

Please send:

1. A professional quality digital photo, emailed or on CD; a color transparency; a color photograph, or a color slide.
2. Brief description of item.
3. Congregational identification – synagogue’s full name, city, and state.
