Israel (2002)
WHEREAS the State of Israel is the spiritual homeland of the Jewish People and an object of great concern for Jews all over the world; and
WHEREAS the hope engendered by the Oslo peace accords have clearly not been realized; and
WHEREAS there is an increasing level of violence, the people of Israel are subject to almost daily attacks by suicide bombers,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism stands with the State of Israel and its people in their ongoing efforts to assure the security and well-being of the State of Israel in the land of Israel.
